Have just put out patch-2.2.18-23-irda1. As you can see the patch is
ment for the upcomming Linux-2.2.18 kernel (patch level 23 by Alan
Cox). You should however be able to use it with Linux-2.2.17 as well
(untested), but the safest choice is to apply the latest 2.2.18 pre-patch
before this Linux-IrDA patch. This is a back-patch of Linux-IrDA from
Linux-2.4, so look at those mails for a changelog. Please try it out
and report any bugs. It's probably to late to get it into 2.2.18, so we
might have to aim for 2.2.19.
