All my tests have been successful (thanks Keith for your many
efforts!) and I've already made the few changes needed for using
smalldb by default, etc.  I've also updated the README file to
reflect the many current improvements.  Now, I'm still trying to
fix a bug reported some time ago:

In any case, lkarmafs-0.1.8 is almost ready and I think I'd be
able to release it by tomorrow night, as planed.  However, for
correct compilation, lkarmafs depends now on the very latests
patch versions of libkarma.  So I'll have to post a libkarma
snapshot along lkarmafs-0.1.8.

Would it be possible to have libkarma-0.0.5 released in the next 
few days?
