Nope.  Moreover, I've tried to setuid it, and the errors persist.

I don't think so, but I'll try.

As I said, the permissions of these sysfs files are unchangeable 
(looks like it is the kernel itself which set them).

What is the behaviour i your system(s)?  can you
bind/unbind/reset as a regular user?
