I've been inspecting more id3v1-tagged tunes.  Not all are padded
with trailing whitespace; some are padded with NULLs.  Recent
versions of lame (>=3.96.1) pad with NULLs, but old lame
versions, as well as recent mp3info (0.8.4) yield blank-padding.

In any case, by default, I think it is worth to get rid of any 
trailing whitspace...  I'll report this at [EMAIL PROTECTED]
