You can't imagine how grateful I am ! You saved my karma.

My last mistake was not checking the karma option of the usb-storage
module, closely followed by not paying attention to what kernel I was
running but I finally got it : a clean karma, as fresh as new. I *just*
have to upload everything again :-( And quickly do a backup afterwards.

Thanks again Bob, you have a cold beer waiting for you (or whatever
suits you) next time you drop by Paris.
