The intended use of 'ttyprintk' is to redirect console to /dev/ttyprintk via the TIOCCONS ioctl. After successfull redirection, all console messages get "merged" with kernel messages and as such automatically processed (stored/transferred) by the syslog service for example. best regards, Samo
