Very Close. I think I am just being greedy. I want my Linux firewall to
double as a web server using an alternate port (8080) running Apache and
continue to redirect standard http requests to an NT box which is inside the
firewall on a VPN running IIS. The Linux box also services masquerade
requests from 6 workstations and acts as my mail server. I looked at
BIND/DNS but was hoping for a less complex solution.
Apache is now configured to accept requests on an alternate port 8080 but
when I hit the site all traffic goes directly to the NT box inside the
firewall (which was my original requirement.)
I think the broader question is how do ISPs host multiple physical web
servers? DNS? Please note that I am not talking about running virtual
hosts on the same server which is well documented.
