Well, you _do_ have to specify port 8080 when connecting to your server if
you want apache to respont, and not the NT box. i.e.
http://www.x.org:8080/

Well, this is a complicated question - but yes, it's DNS, of course. If
they have multiple servers each hosting a single website, they'll have
each of them registered under a different name.
