Hello folks - hope someone of you can help me,
I have problems with the SK token ring driver that comes with
Linux (2.1.128 and earlier). I need to use the driver at boot
time so my machine can get its IP number via bootp.
The card is found nicely, but as soon as bootp comes into
action, the following error message is printed:
Sending BOOTP requests...
<6>tr0: Received my own frame
This message is repeated numerous times, then the booting
process stops.
I highly suspect that this is due to the card being used at 4MBps
whereas the token ring is running at 16 MBps. Is there any way
to convince the card to use 16 MBps at boot up time?
I tried to contact Jay Schulist already, but not a single email got
through.
Hope someone can help me there and thanks in advance,
Manfred Lemke ([EMAIL PROTECTED])
