I know that RedHat 5.* disables forwarding by default. You have to set
`FORWARD_IPV4 = yes' in /etc/sysconfig/network (or something like
that; I don't use RedHat myself, but the subject is discussed
frequently on this list).
RedHat 4.* may or may not be the same.

`0.0.0.0' and `default' are one and the same. It just depends upon
whether you use the `-n' switch or not.
