I think the original 21040 Tulip has been EOL'd but the rest of the family will
continue to be made for the foreseeable future -- and indeed I think there is
a new chip due out shortly.  There was some speculation that Intel would kill 
the ex-DEC ethernet series because they competed with the 82557 family but 
this appears not to have happened.
