I kind of figured that. For the our purposes linux will only
be up for 10 - 20mins. (It's being used as a light weight NT
installer - The NT partition gets ripped off an NFS server
and dd'd onto a harddisk).

Doesn't mean work can't start! :) ... I think this would be
an excellent project ... Where I work, we are moving away
from static IP addresses and pushing _almost_ everything(*) into
DHCP. Even permanent IP addresses will be managed by DHCP.
This means that (virtually) every single workstation (be
it linux/nt/95) will have a uniform network configuration.
Very useful when the field guys (sometimes) don't have much
of a clue.

(*) Except network hardware and the _big_ servers.
