Hello,

Just a quick question and one I'd say is fairly easy.

We have just moved our primary mail server to 8.8.9 (w/patches) and are
having some problems wit the relay rules

>From what we can tell, /etc/mail/ip_allow lists all the IP's ranges of the
systems that can send mail VIA our mail server or as a secondary MX.

ie:

203.29.72
203.57.19

They are just two small c-classes we have. We have them in that ip_allow
list to say that any server on those networks who wishes to send mail VIA
our new mail server, can only do so if they are in those ranges.

Secondly, we have in name_allow all the domains for which we relay for -
this includes all our virtual mail hosting domains too.

We arent sure if this is the correct way to be doing it as there does seem
to be a random, and unknwon-reason-why, issue where by mail is bounced with
the cant relay error.

Can anyone help me or point us into the right direction.

TIA

Regards

adam
