I run RedHat and it seems to be fairly easy to install and configure. But
then again don't think in terms of market leader. I originally installed
Linux back in 94 (I think) from some floppies I received from a friend and
it worked. It just took forever.
RedHat's installation is really the only thing that is simplified. All
re-configurations that I have done have using a straight login. And
finally, my only choice for RedHat was simple. It was in the local store
and I wanted to try it since I hadn't seen Linux in several years. Total
coincidence!
OK, I use Slackware, and I know it does the job. It also gets a good
write-up in the distribution HOWTO as a robust commercial setup.
Does anyone have any comments on the merits or otherwise of each
distribution?
