does this include SuSE with its 5 CD distribution (1 live filesystem, 1
sources, remainder packages) ?

I must admit that I'll stick to dpkg i.o. dselect, probably because I'm
not too acquinted with the interface.

I don't use Slackware anymore since quite some years, so I can't judge
that one, rh on my alpha's (still waiting for the Debian CD's to arrive)
but prefer SuSe for trainings etc. Above that, being chauvinistic about
this EU distribution ;-)
