folks,

i obviously did not express myself clearly in my original email.
what i was hoping to find is an interface (daemon) that would
accept mapi requests from a client (outlook) and pass the request
to an smpt server, and then forward the response back to the
client. kinda like a proxy. it is my understanding that such
software exists for other proprietary mail systems (i.e. hp:openmail).
i am *not* looking for software to allow linux clients to connect
to the exchange server. that can already be done through pop3
or imap.

i hope this helps clarify the original posting. i would also like
to thank those people that responded to email, if i have not
already responded personaly.

thanks,

//daryl
