Ethernet interface activation

Hi all,

        I've upgraded a 10 Mb ethernet card with a D-Link DFE 530 TX 100Mb
card. After a few problems, it works, but when I restart my linux
machine the eth0 interface is not active. I have tried to activate it
from "Control Panel", but it doesn't work. Then I have to execute
"modprobe via-rhine" to reactivate it.

        Do you know why?
