Hi,
I am trying to set up a dialin PPP service on my system (running Slackware
3.5 (2.0.34)).
I have set up a login name that will cause /usr/sbin/diplogin to run and
have created an entry in /etc/diphosts
Although I have set the modem (Hayes Accura 56K) register S0=2, the modem
will not auto answer. However, if I run dip with a simple script that
specifies the port (/dev/cua1) and sleeps, the modem does answer after 2
rings. When dip exits, the TR (DTR?) light on the modem goes out - this
seems to be the only thing that changes from the modems point of view.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Tony Erwood.
