Hi,

Firstly I'd like to thank those who've answered my queries about linux &
sendmail upto now (especially Glynn Clements) without your help setting up
our office network would be impossible. The only way I can repay is maybe
someday I will get to help some other clueless newbie in turn.

Right now I am in the process of clearing out all the loose ends:

We have a dial-up connection with our ISP. Normally we download and send
out all e-mails twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening.
Now the problem is that the linux server is sending back warning messages
saying that messages queued up for delivery have not been sent out for more
than 4 hours and that these messages will be kept for a maximum of 5 days.
Now I appreciate this feature of sending such warnings, but I prefer a
longer time gap. 4 hours is too short a period considering that we connect
to the internet only twice a day. How can I change this from 4 hours to say
8 hours?

I am using sendmail 8.8.x on kernel 2.0.35. I have set sendmail to queue
all expensive mail.

Thanks in advance,
Ishaaq Chandy
