XF86Setup works great if you're already in X, maybe not so great if you can't get X 
running.  In which case I usually use xf86config from the command line.  I dunno about 
the Xconfigurator.  Anyway, I checked the Cards database on a RH5.2 machine, and the 
Rage Pro is indeed listed.  Should be no problem.  Good luck.
