BUT!
First, my primary objective is to get the system on line then correct other additional
problems like printer and CDR/W
etc. then correct minor problems like firewall. Computer is unplugged from wall when
not in immediate usage lightning
protection and replacement cost being more important than continuous usage. I live in
a location where the all day daily
rain with lighting storm is the norm this time of year - worst in US.
Second, for some stupid reason or the other that I am not privilege to I can not
access http://mirror.aarnet.edu.au/
or any part of this site. I just tried your reference and I have tried it several
times in the past. No luck. Also, I have the
same problem with a number of sites in Europe. Suspect solution to this is to change
ISP but that is not an immediate
feasible option.
