in /etc/rc.d/rc.local I have the following...
----------
# Install IPCHAINS code to MASQ and FIREWALL our ppp connection
if [ -f /etc/chains.input ] && [ -f /usr/sbin/ipchains-restore ] ; then
echo -n "Restoring Ipchains rules..."
/usr/sbin/ipchains-restore -v </etc/chains.input
echo "done."
fi
----------
My firewall rules file is /etc/chains.input
You will need the ipchains-restore and ipchains-save scripts.
They may come with the newer dists, I am not sure as I use an older
version.
