Linux 2.0.36, RedHat 5.2
------------------
Environment description:
- A Linux server addressing 10 Window clients with IP protocol. Linux
server is sending lots
of heavy images to these clients.
In order to protect the backbone, we installed a 3Com 3300 10/100TX
Switch. Each PC and
the Linux system are wired directly to this switch.
Linux and Windows systems are working very fine at 100Mb.
- Some of these clients need to address a Novel Server using IPX protocol.
Since having
inserted the Switch between the Windows Novel Client and the Novel Server the
client loose the connection and remains unable to link with again.
When performing "Networking Neighbourhood" option, the client is able
to see the
Novel IPX server but unable to logon.
Had someone already faced this kind of problem ?
Thanks
