Hi all
I run Slackware with a 2.0.36 kernel. It doesn't have ipportfw in the
distribution, so I searched the Internet and found the author's site at
ftp://www.monmouth.demon.co.uk/ipsubs/. I downloaded a patch for the kernel
and the ipportfw.c source. I applied the patch (but didn't recompile the
kernel yet) then compiled ipportfw.c - which gave a load of errors. I now
suspect I'm in a mess.
How do I 'unpatch' the kernel? I didn't backup the source tree...
Where can I get a working copy of ipportfw, preferably in binary form with
a man page?
Do I really need to patch the kernel?
People seem to talk about ipportfw and ipfwadm as if they were a standard
facility, so I was surprised I didn't have them. What's the latest version
of net-tools, and would this include them?
Thanks
Neil
