| Any ideas? The only thing that adds up would be a problem with

I have experienced this problem with eepro100, and a couple of Tulip
cards. I've also heard that it sometimes occurs on 3c905 cards. I
usually get rid of the problem by unloading the driver module and then
re-insert it into the kernel. Then the performance is usually fine
for a couple of days or so. I've seen this on at least kernel
versions 2.2.{5,7,10}. This is a major problem for my company, as it
is causing the reliability on our 100Mbps net to be very bad.
I have realized that this is a thing that probably not will be fixed
very soon, so I have migrated some important server tasks over to a
Solaris machine, and I otherwise use cron to reload the drivers a
couple of times every day.
The problem has been reported two or more times on the kernel list,
but the response has been close to non existant.
