I have a 3c905b-tx card and an smc card setup as a router for 2 networks.
(192.6.21.0 and 192.168.1.0)

Everything works now, but I can not get the 3com nic to work at 100Tx.
When I first boot the router (Redhat 6.0 / 2.2.5-15) the 100mb light lights
up on the linksys etherfast 10/100 8-port hub.
As the system configures the either ports the light goes out, then back on
at only 10mb.

I have tried the latest 3c95x code, .99L, which did not help. But, as I
was testing I noted that "insmod 3c95x" will leave the light at 100mb. It
is when I do the "ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.1 netmask 255.255.255.0" that the
light goes off and back on to 10mb.

I tryed to use the "ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.1 media 100baseTx", but that
gives the following error.
"SIOCSIFMAP: Operation not supported"

dmesg gives the following lines about the card.
"eth0: 3Com 3c905B Cyclone 100baseTx at 0xfc00, ***INVALID CHECKSUM
000a*** 00:10:5a:62:d9:41, IRQ 10"
"8K byte-wide RAM 5:3 Rx:Tx split, 100baseTX interface."
"Enabling bus-master transmits and whole-frame receives."

Is ifconfig broken? (ifconfig version 1.39 / net-tools version 1.51)
