file sharing via inet

I have quite a situation. There is a LAN that has a Linux box that is online
24/7 and an NT box that is not online :-) What I'd like to do is to allow
people on Win boxes to share NT files over the Internet as if they were on a
local drive. What are my chances? I am familiar with Samba but the poor
thing has problems going across a router, not mentioning Internet.
