A better description:

It is a stage environment where this car travels, untethered, on a track
about the stage. It has an onboard embedded PC that must communicate to the
main PC via Ethernet. The line of sight can not be guaranteed between a
transmitter and the car since other set pieces could be placed in between as
well as actors could get in the way(don't know if the actors should cause a
problem however). As well wireless radios are being used in the building
for communication, and the location being in the middle of a major
metropolitan area, could cause interference. If anyone is aware of such
obstacles being over come in the past I would love to hear about it.

Thanks for all your help,

Darin
