What kind of a NIC does Compaq Presario 4212ES use?

I got this Compaq Presario 4212ES (P166MHz) for free and I am trying to make
the internal NIC work. I have tried every module that comes with 2.2.12 with
no luck. Does anyone know what kind of a beast NIC does it have?
