Let inetd know that lots of connections is expected and not an attack.

>From inetd(8) man page:

The optional ``max'' suffix (separated from ``wait'' or ``nowait'' by a
dot) specifies the maximum number of server instances that may be spawned
from inetd within an interval of 60 seconds. When omitted, ``max''
defaults to 40.

If you're loading up your linux box with a bunch of ncd's it'd get more
than 40 connections a minute no trouble... There's the image, the config
files, all the optional modules and the fonts. If you exceed the limit
inetd will think the server is under attack or misconfigured and shut off
the service.

The fonts are a real killer. If you're not using one already I highly
recomend setting up a font server for your ncd's instead of loading fonts
via tftp.
