Hi everybody,

i would like to install RH6.1 via ftp onto my notebook, but the pcmcia-utils on the
RH-install-bootdisk don't recognize my nic.

it tell's me something like:
Nov 27 20:11:51 Roth cardmgr[85]: unsupported card in socket 0
Nov 27 20:11:51 Roth kernel: cs: memory probe 0x0d0000-0x0dffff: clean.
Nov 27 20:11:51 Roth cardmgr[85]: product info: "NE2000", "EN10T2"
Nov 27 20:11:51 Roth cardmgr[85]: manfid: 0x8a01, 0x0100 function: 6 (network)

the correct notice schould lokk like this:
Nov 27 20:31:18 Roth kernel: eth0: NE2000 Compatible: port 0x300, irq 3, hw_addr
00:A0:0C:60:00:42

The nic is to be used by the pc_net driver, the recognition-process could be inforced
by inserting either
        card "NE2000 Compatible"
        manfid 0x8a01, 0x0100
        bind "pcnet_cs"
or
        card "NE2000 Compatible"
version "EN10T2", "NE2000", "PCMCIA Ethernet Card"
        bind "pcnet_cs"
into /etc/pcmcia/config.

How can i do this?

Of which format / fs-type is /fd0/initrd.img?

Thanks for helping in advace
