implementing nat in kernel 2.2.5

hi all,
i have a redhat 6.0 running kernel 2.2.5-15. i want to set it up as a router and i 
want to configure NAT in this kernel. 

Do I have to apply any patches or will the present code do the job?
Will I have to use "ipnatadm" and is ipnatadm available for this kernel?
