You can masquerade your local net using ipchains. ipnatadm and another
utility are, as far as I've understood, a rewrite of ipchains. Look at the
masquerading-howto and the ipchains-howto. No patches needed, and you
don't even need to recompile a standard redhat kernel, I think.
