I am relatively new to the linux world, and want to configure a samba server,
for use as a file server on our 650 node network. I think that I have the
configuration file set up correctly, but I am unable to attach to any of the
shares. When I run testparm -s /etc/smb.conf 1.2.3.4 of course substituting the
proper IP address, the linux box says that it will allow connections from my
workstation. Yet, when I try to log in, from Windows NT, the system tells me
"that account is not authorized to log in from that workstation. I have the
same username / password combination for my linux account as I do for the
Windows NT computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
