Hi,
I am new to this mailing-list, so I'm sorry if I'm repeating a
previously discussed question. I had a couple of questions regarding the
networking modules of Redhat Linux 6.1 (2.2.5) and the Linux Router(LRP) :
1. I have the Linux router(LRP) booting from the floppy but it does not
seem to be recognizing my ethernet cards. I have two 3com 3c59x cards and
a multiport(4-port) Matrox NS-FNIC/4 (82557to9er driver) card. So in all
the linux box has 6 ethernet ports, but when I boot it from the LRP floppy
it does not recognize even 1 of them. I tried setting it up via the menu
interface of LRP but it was'nt of much help. Any help in this regard will
be much appreciated.
2. I wanted to look at the networking modules of redhat 6.1(kernel
2.2.12), but did'nt know where to start. I found a lot of .c
files(ip_input.c, ip_output.c etc..) int the /etc/linux/2.2.5-15/net
directory but did'nt find any documentation on what each file does. I also
looked through the .c files but the comments were not very helpful. It
would be very helpful if someone could tell me what files I should look at
(TCP/IP stack), for starters.
Thanks in advance
Kiran
