Hi guys,
I have the following scenario...
Internet
I
PPP0 196.254.200.250
I I
eth0 196.254.200.251 eth1 196.254.200.252
I I

I LOCAL LAN I
I I
196.254.200.253 (Router)
I
I
172.26.0.1 (Router)
I
172.26.0.101 (Web Server)
There is a register web domain called http://extranet.blakesa.co.za the
valid IP address for the page is 196.254.200.56 as setup on the DNS servers.
I need to remap this address to point to 172.26.0.101 when it gets to the
linux box. This will only be for www protocol and nothing else like ftp etc.
I have no idea how to do this with ipchains. I have managed to get the masq
working for the internal network with ipchains. I read the IPCHAINS-HOWTO
and MASQUERADING-HOWTO and they dont say much about the redirecting of
addresses, when I did a man on ipchains it does show the REDIR jump but i'm
not too sure how to use this directive. Is this at all possible and if it is
can someone please tell me how to do this. It would be much appreciated, and
as is everything else extremely urgent too.
Note, the IP addresses are not the real ones but should suffice for the
example, if you need more info please let me know
Thanx
Bruce
