I have setup the faxserver using the efax following HOWTO.
I have following setup on server ( the machine on which faxserver is set)
side:
RedHat 6.1 with lpr-0.46-1 and efax-0.9-1
In the client (the machine which is using the faxserver on the server
machine) side also have the same version of lpr and efax and it is also
running on RH 6.1. I have made the necessary entries in the printcap file
pointing to remote machine and added the name of client in /etc/hosts.lpd
of server.
I can send fax from server side using both lpr and fax command
When I send the the fax from client machine using lpr command like this
lpr -Pfax -J 0-251729 filename ( I am dialing through a EPABX, hence
leading 0 in phone no.)
The fax job reaches the server spool directory. But when I observed the cf
file it does not contain the number to be dialed and log also shows that
the dial has failed.
Am I doing anything wrong?
I would be very thankful if you could suggest or help me out in this
matter.
