Because m/c's can ping each other, cable shouldn't be a problem.
Maybe the problem is reverse DNS resolving.
So, (Ramachandran) /etc/hosts on both m/c's should have each other (and self,
of course).
f.e.
left's /etc/hosts
192.168.1.1 left
192.168.1.5 right
and the same on the machine right.
left and right are example names for m/c's.
