Was it the boot sector of the *drive* (the MBR) you overwrote, or of one of the
partitions? If it was the MBR, then DOS/Win9x fdisk will put some standard
boot code back if you run "fdisk /mbr" - but note that if you've *really*
hosed the MBR, you'll have lost your partition table, too. 

Alternatively, I dimly remember that booting from the NT installation media
and choosing recover will allow you to rewrite the MBR and/or perhaps the boot
sector of an NTFS "root" partition.
