-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hi list,
I have been browsing through the transparent proxy sources and there is
something which I do not understand. Can someone explain me the logic behind
the ifdefs around line 954 in tcp_v4.c
#ifdef CONFIG_IP_TRANSPARENT_PROXY
if (((struct rtable*)skb->dst)->rt_type == RTN_UNICAST)
icmp_send(skb, ICMP_DEST_UNREACH,
ICMP_PORT_UNREACH, 0);
#endif
This returns a ICM PORT unreach instead of a RST. What is the logic behind
this exemption?
