Hi,
I would like to take timing measures in the tcp/ip
stack of the linux kernel to test its performance. Because I need to isolate it
from the rest of the kernel in order to get accurate numbers, I was thinking to
port the whole networking stack up to the user level where I can run it on top
of a simulator to take the measures. Does anybody have an isolated version of
the linux networking code that can run on the user level? Or any opinion of how
to do that? When coding the networking stack, do you work directly on the kernel
or you do it separetely?
Thanks a lot!!!!
Jordi
