Anybody has an idea what this means in /var/log/messages
Apr 26... inetd[276] testpsapi/tcp server failing (looping), service
terminated
I have two applications, a client (psapi) and a server (testpsapi)
and everything goes smoothly. Many times (as intended) the
server(instance)
breaks the connection with the client (at random interval) (and
exits). The client then has to re-establish and negotiate the
communication, which it does flawlessly.
Then, from a certain moment on, above mentioned line appears in
/var/log/messages and from then on all existing connections remain
existing, but when a server(instance) quits (as intended), the
renewed connection cannot be set-up nor can any new connection.
What's wrong ?
/etc/services on server-machine holds as expected
testpsapi 9431/tcp
testpsapi stream tcp nowait root /opt/ps/testserver testserver 0 4
