Samba

I am trying to set up Samba on a Linux server running Red Hat 6.2. When I
attempt the smbmount command i am getting;

tree connection failed; ERRDOS - ERRnosuchshare (You specified an invalid
share name)
SMB connection failed.

Any help is appreciated.
