That won't happen unless the name server has permission to write to the database files. (named should be running as user.group = named.named, so /var/named/* needs to be owned appropriately), and, IIRC, an "allow-update" parameter added to the named.conf file (that specifies a list/acl of hosts allowed to do that). And while it doesn't seem to apply to your case, for dynamic dns for a totally broken microslop implementation, to get it to work with them you'll need to do some totally bizzare things to allow name mangling (allowing underscores in host/domain names, etc).
