Hi, I am rather new to routing. Forgive me if the question is trite. Question: How can broadcasts, such as xdm broadcasts, be routed through a linux router? Background: We are routing between a class C network segment and a class B network segment. When we add the routes and point the machines to use it, everything is fine. Yet we cannot see any broadcasts on either side. We used the linux machine as a bridge. It worked well. Our ES3810 (ATM Switch) , however, did not, since it limits only 4 mac addresses per port. Things became quite strange when more than 4 machines were connected. So we need to route and fool the switch. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
