I am using the exact same distro. The only problem I have had with Moz 1.1 is when permissions are messed up. Make sure you have full read/write access to your .mozilla foler in your home directory. Then go to bugzilla and see if your problem is a known issue for Moz 1.1. If it isn't, report the bug with as much info as you can.
I have found that the best workaround for mozilla is to use galeon instead. In fact, you should go to http://galeon.sourceforge.net and download the latest rpm for it. Not only is it more customizable, but it's more stable.
