Now why would a uniek operating system want to "copy" ideas from another
software company like "micky$oft"?, this is in actual fact what you are
saying.

As it happens many items in widows are copied from Unix ideas, the whole
widows system was based on the old mackintosh GUI interface, all Microsoft
did was get the writers of the software to go and work for him to produce
the first windows version.

If you have a particular make of car and have never driven another you would
not say, before i buy another brand they need to make it just like my brand
so i know how everything works, that is what you are saying.

Your point about "it's not much yet" is because you dont understand just how
to drive it, like the example of the car above.
When you have leant to drive it properly, you will soon see that it is far
beter then widows, (yes its spelt correctly).

Linux "does" have some aspects of "embrace and extend" strategy, its
possably that you have not yet learned to find them and use them to thier
full extent.

Like the old sying, "Rome was'nt built in one day" It took six ;-)
Where's the 7th day some would ask, the answer to that is, it is resurved
for "Learning to operate Linux".
