Greetings!
I'm new to this list, so here goes what probably is a dumb question.
I have a Rockwell-chip PCI voice/modem...it's not a USRobotics Winmodem
as such, but something really close. My linux box, 2.0.31, boot up
sequence reports it as an unrecognised PCI device, same with my DVD
decoder card and the Monster Voodoo2 card. They aren't a drama here.
Under Windoze this modem defaults to COM5...I've read some how-to's and
I'm still not entirely clear how to get Linux to use the modem...if
there is a script/file I have to hack, please let me now. The modem has
no jumpers and Windows 98 detects it as a PCI Serial Controller (?).
Any help appreciated.
