I know that the 56Flex and X2 modems are compatible with Linux. Unfortunately, from what I've read is that since they use software compression Linux will only get they "regular" 33.6kps transfer speed. I have a USRobotics X2 modem on my RHL 5.1 system. If I software upgrade to V.90 will I be able to get a faster connection. or are all Linux users doomed to 33.6kps dial-up transfer rates? Michael
