Hey Bogdan,
I was in your situation recently, and thought I was bound to purchasing a
Sound Blaster.. But with help from the nice people at Linux-newbie helped
me on my way. I have an ESS 1868, and it works fine now. If you're
considering upgrading to RH5.2 I hear it will accept PnP sound cards. Plug
and Pray was once a MS standard exclusive to those other operating systems
designed by Master Bates,, Wait, Bill is married, I guess I should call him
mister.. Despite, Red Hat has done a nice job in incorporating PnP into
sound configuration. Easy peezy.
